Spanish River Park, sometimes referred to as “Boca Raton’s Lagoon,” got its name from a stream that used to run alongside the park. Nowadays, this river is considered part of the Intracoastal Waterway. While swimming isn’t allowed in the lagoon or waterway, visitors have access to the beautiful Atlantic beach, where lifeguards are present for safety during the day. Additionally, the park provides several nature trails to explore and a picnic area equipped with grills, tables, and restrooms. Fishing is also allowed in the park, but make sure to have a valid license.
The clean beach, accessible by a tunnel under Highway A1A, was a favorite among recent visitors. They enjoyed the picnic areas, playground, and scenic nature trails. People appreciated the lack of crowds and the unspoiled natural beauty that surrounded them during their visit.
