Paradise

At an elevation of 5,400 feet, Paradise is a wonderful starting point for your park adventure. Here, you’ll discover the Paradise Jackson Visitor Center, the primary hub for visitors in the park. This center provides useful information, engaging exhibits, a captivating park film, ranger-led programs, a gift store, and a cafeteria. During the summer, it’s the perfect spot to admire beautiful wildflowers, while in winter, it becomes a bustling area for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and tubing. Additionally, you’ll find the historic Paradise Inn in this vicinity, open from mid-May to early October. The Guide House is also nearby, serving as the go-to place for climbers seeking permits and hikers and campers in need of backcountry camping information.

During the peak wildflower season from July to August, visitors are captivated by the stunning beauty of the area, often using words like “breathtaking” and “gorgeous” to describe it. Paradise is praised for its excellent visitor center and informative ranger programs. However, due to its popularity, finding parking can be challenging, and previous visitors have mentioned the possibility of experiencing long waits.
