Conner Prairie is an interactive history museum located in Fishers, Indiana, just northeast of Indianapolis. Founded in 1970 by Earlham College and named after the Conner family who settled the land in the early 1800s, this 800-acre living history museum offers visitors a unique opportunity to step back in time and experience Indiana’s pioneer past. The attraction combines immersive exhibits, costumed interpreters, and hands-on activities to bring history to life for visitors of all ages.

The grounds feature authentically reconstructed historic buildings, including a pioneer cabin, a 1836 log cabin, and the Conner House, the original Greek Revival home built by the Conner family in 1823. Throughout the year, the museum hosts special events and programs that showcase different aspects of Indiana’s history, from Civil War reenactments to holiday celebrations.
